Banding Together
To Confront COVID-19
COVID-19 is a stark reminder we are all in this together — one, interconnected, global community. We will best handle Coronavirus by listening to our health experts and practicing social distancing, but also find creative ways to maintain our social connections, support one another, and band together to confront this threat. As the coronavirus spreads across our country, it is also exposing inequities and injustices in our society: Who has health care and who doesn’t? Who has paid sick leave, adequate child care, and housing and who doesn’t? Who has rainy day savings and who is as little as $500 away from economic calamity?
Similar to the Great Depression, we need an aggressive response that will safeguard the health of our communities and tackle the associated economic crisis. We need a People’s New Deal that creates a more fair, humane and just America.
BANDING TOGETHER TO CONFRONT COVID-19
We have created this page to provide reliable information to stay informed, stay safe, and take action. We are also advocating aggressive policy that will safeguard the health of our communities and tackle the associated economic crisis. As we confront the coronavirus, we must commit ourselves to creating a more fair, humane and just America.

Action Plan to Confront COVID-19 Public Health and Economic Crisis
Our government must act quickly, decisively, and comprehensively to minimize the spread of COVID-19, prepare for a wider outbreak, care for acute patients, and make investments to ensure every American family and small business affected can weather this economic downturn. We need the same spirit of immediate action, innovation, and mobilization we had during the Great Depression and World War II.
