The Khazei Principles

During this campaign, I will be developing comprehensive, innovative plans to address the most important issues and opportunities facing the citizens of Massachusetts and our great country. But I believe how I will approach each issue is equally as important. The voters of the Commonwealth have a right to know how each candidate develops positions on the issues that need to be addressed.

I believe in leading by example, and in this campaign I will follow a consistent approach to developing plans and positions called The Khazei Principles.
  1. Start with the facts.
  2. Consult with the world’s best experts and practitioners.
  3. Look for innovative solutions wherever they may be.
  4. Develop programs to invest and grow what works and stop wasting money on what doesn’t.
  5. Listen and understand other points of view.
  6. Ask for citizen ideas.
  7. Ask for citizen action to be a part of the solution.
  8. Know what it costs and how we are going to pay for it.
  9. Ensure we can measure cost and the benefits.
  10. When necessary, build a movement to get it done.

Your Input Matters

A central theme of these principles is my belief that your ideas and viewpoints are a key ingredient to meeting the challenges and opportunities before us. I hope you will contact my campaign at [email protected] so we can start a conversation about the issues that are most important to you.'
